John is a social entrepreneur with an extensive track record in the strategic planning and execution of high profile Community, Voluntary and Social Enterprise (CVSE) projects. John specialises in strategic planning and innovative multi-agency project management and delivery.



Philip Angier
Social Economy Specialist



Philip has taken a leading role in promoting social finance and social accounting initiatives in the North East Region. He helped to found CapitaliSE Financial Solutions CIC, led the development of the Social Appraisal Toolkit, and is engaged in a number of regional and national initiatives to measure social value.



Tracy Richardson
CVSE Sector Procurement Specialist



Tracy has over five years experience of working for a national funding organisation which gives her a clear understanding of the bidding process: from shaping ideas into projects, identifying potential funding strands, crafting compelling bids, improving project success rates, and meeting contract obligations.



Chris Mains
Public Sector Procurement Specialist



Chris' extensive client-side experience gives him invaluable insights into what public sector organisations look for and the way in which they award contracts, particularly through e-procurement processes.

A social networker who, through extensive experience across a number of sectors, is fulfilling her personal mission to champion, foster and accelerate entrepreneurship and encourage the practice of action/peer-group learning.



Dr Vanessa Hogbin
Policy Director



Vanessa specialises in strategic research and evaluation and providing evidence-based advice on policy development. She works mainly with organisations from the VCSE involved in enterprise and economic regeneration.



Marianne Raine
e-Learning and Training Specialist



Marianne is a qualified trainer with extensive experience in the management and provision of training, particularly focussed on e-learning. She leads on the use of e-learning techniques, such as Webinars, peer to peer support, live online training, and training needs analysis.



Judith Courts
Governance Specialist



Judith specialises in developing good governance — from choosing the appropriate legal structure for fledgling organisations through to building effective boards of trustees and directors to run them, and, when appropriate, navigate the choppy waters of mergers and collaborations.
